Time goes by so fast

Last Friday was my birthday that brings me to 32, suppose to be wiser in making decision.

In the morning, one of my closest friend, Fanny, called me, she just deliverd her 3rd child, a son.. what times go by very fast. I flashed back to junior high school times where we mostly spent times together, me, Cindy, Diana, Fanny & Amel. We used to spent times after school at Cindy's house, ate everything that we can chew, chatting about boys & what's hot about them, and etc.. There were 3 boys that we loved to made fun with, Adi (or his nickname given by us, Chin), Iwan & Oky... it's funny, I only remember Adi's nickname not the others, is it because of his chin that looks like John Travolta's??? No way!!! I wonder where the 3 boys now, are they married yet, where're they living now, what they look like??
An hour later, on the way to office, Diana sent me a text message, a happy birthday wish using the same format that we always do, with picture attached made from text. Oh, again, my mind was flew to few years past, reminds me to Indri (how are you, girl?) and the warm bedroom that Diana had at that time. I miss my old times even though I have to admit that my old times were not as good as others, less family situation at home, fought to what I believe and casted away from friends.. but still ok for me, it was a learning process that I had to pass thru that gave me good impacts on being tough and always survive of dealing with my life now.

Late in the afternoon, I walked alone in PS, thinking about what I have done to my life. Interesting findings, ...having 3 kids already in my 32 years old (the eldest is 11 y/o), have a job (try to like the industry I'm in), have a car that can compactful loaded up to 11 person, have a house, (still) pursuing Master degree, .. but top of all, there are soooo many things that not yet achieved:
  1. Accomplish my Master degree
  2. Get promotion (yeahhh... sure)
  3. Flat belly
  4. Long healthy hair
  5. Perfect white bread
  6. Find another black beauty
  7. Future shelter for Alex
  8. Put Rico (also) in Montessori
  9. Siem Reap
  10. A good restaurant
  11. Work @ Human & Children Foundation
  12. Recital
  13. ... and many more

beautiful thailand

we flew to thailand from singapore on june 25 by airasia. arrived there in afternoon, we had to deal with traffic on the way to our hotel. our hotel was nearby chinatown, and no one seemed knew where exactly our hotel was, perhaps because it was not a 5 stars hotel, or maybe we didn't correctly spell the hotel name.

finally, we found our hotel.. old & small but our room was very large. after rest a while, as we held a map of bangkok, we decided to walk to memorial bridge that according to the map was only 100 m from the hotel and planned to have dinner in one of the restaurant that facing to the river. however, the map guided us to the wrong direction; so confusing.. and very difficult to ask the direction to bangkok people as they hardly speak english. so, at that night, we walked for almost 2 hours, tried finding the restaurant that according to the map was only step away from the bridge; and since it was the 1st time for widi visited bangkok, he kept complaining by saying bangkok was not nice (because memorial bridge is in bangkok's suburban area), noone can speak english, the map was so unuseful & none of beautiful view that i promised him to see.

it was so satisfy to pleased my children

maybe, it sounds too snobby, but i cannot resist to not fulfill my children request of go abroad for vacation. so, after did calculation on budget will be spent, i arranged a budget-holiday itinerary to singapore; the tought was because widi was invited for communic asia, so we did not have to pay the transportation and fiskal for him.. save money already (even though, we cannot spent nights on his apartment since all his colleagues also stayed there). suddenly, when i browsed some sites to find budget airlines, i was stunned to airasia holiday package of 3 days 2 nights hotel & airfare from singapore to thailand for only Rp 6 mio for entire family! was it worth of money? i have been to thailand before, and i think at that time it was costly.. so, i changed my itinerary right away and included thailand on my list
thus, on june 22, me, alex, shey & coco flew to singapore. we were picked up by widi and directly ahead to phoenix hotel. i really like the hotel because it had self-service laundry.. (i really hate to packed dirty clothes), massage chair, next to MRT station and of course, nearby to orchad road. we spent times in orchad road and in the night, we were invited dinner by bayu at marriot hotel.
the next day, me & my children spent whole noon in IKEA and went to clarke quay, afterwards. after had dinner, we had trip around the city by rickshaw and ended our journey in mustofa that was so dirty and made me promise not to come back visited that place again.
the next day, we went to marina & esplanade and after lunch we decided to travelled to sentosa island by MRT to enjoyed the musical fountain. the incredible of the show was it able to made coco sat down quitely and really enjoyed the dancing laser-fountain. it was so great...
our trip to singapore was short and we did not travelled to many places, but i really enjoy that time and feel so happy when i saw my children enthusiasm of their first trip to outside indonesia; i really can't wait to see their reactions once we arrived in thailand, because it is totally different to singapore
